MEDIA ACCESS & CREDENTIALS: What You Need to Know ASRA welcomes media professionals to cover our events, but we maintain a selective and professional standard for credential approval. Our goal is to highlight and promote the sport through high-quality storytelling, photography, and videography—delivered by those with both the experience and creative eye to do it justice.
Request Timeline: All media credential requests must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the first event the applicant wishes to attend. This advance notice allows us to carefully review applications and coordinate access with track officials and event staff.
Portfolio Requirement: A professional portfolio is required with every request. This should showcase your previous work in motorsports or comparable events and demonstrate your ability to produce high-quality content. Prior track experience is equally as important as the quality of your work, as it reflects both your familiarity with the environment and your ability to operate safely and effectively in a fast-paced racing setting.
Selective Process: ASRA maintains a more stringent media credential process than some organizations. This is to ensure safety, professionalism, and the integrity of the media content associated with our events. Acceptance is not guaranteed, and credentials are issued at the discretion of the ASRA media team.
If You’re Not Approved: If your application is not accepted, we still encourage you to attend. Most tracks on our schedule are fan-friendly and offer excellent spectator zones where aspiring media professionals can practice their craft and build experience. These areas can provide great opportunities to grow your portfolio and better prepare for future credential applications.
Thank you for your interest in ASRA, and for helping us share the excitement and passion of American motorcycle racing.
